Wondering how to navigate the new year with your wellness at the core? We chatted with @miss_dhanusha on sustainable ways to look after yourself, and simplify your wellness routine in 2026 💚
Dhanusha is a holistic wellness coach who helps people build sustainable, healthy habits that can help them on their wellness journey. Here is what Dhanusha had to say about wellness in 2026.
A new year often brings pressure to overhaul everything — eat better, move more, do more. What’s your take on starting fresh without burning out?
" So the start of a new year often brings a lot of pressure. I think a fresh start or looking at it that way can be very overwhelming for people. So instead of overhauling your entire life, look at what small little habits that you can build sustainably and consistently. It is more about sustainability and consistency than it is about making dramatic changes."
How can we simplify our wellness routines without sacrificing self-care? And how does Down to Earth support this approach?
"Wellness isn't a long checklist or it shouldn't feel that way. What we're gonna look at is simplifying the steps that we wanna take on our journey. Why love down to earth products is because they are multi-use, which reduces the decision fatigue that one has and the clutter in your space. So all in all, you wanna look at how you can make a 10 step routine into a three step routine, and that's gonna help you every day."
What are some subtle signs that your body or mind might need more care, especially early in the year when people push hard?
"So you might start off the year thinking that it's a sprint, but it's actually a marathon. So what you wanna do is actually pay attention to. All the different signals in your body. You'll know when something's off if you feel irritable, fatigued, or just feeling guilty when you're trying to rest. So slowing down, being more present and listening to your body will really help you to understand the signals and use that to grow and to become better every single day."
If someone’s watching this and feeling totally stretched, what’s one small reset they could build into their day — that doesn’t require a lifestyle overhaul?
"One small simple step that you can take is to just pause, put your feet on the ground, take a deep breath in. And release and let it go. What we wanna do is incorporate this into your everyday when you're feeling stressed, when you're feeling overwhelmed, when you're feeling a bit burnt out. What you want to do is create these micro rest moments throughout the day so that you signal to your body it's safe, you hear, and you're present with it.
These changes don't have to be dramatic to be effective. A simple breath can really help. Be sure to take care of yourself this year."
